My undergrad was actually in musical theater. Whilst singing and dancing around the country and internationally, I took up freelance web design, as it was a portable business, and I really enjoyed helping my cast members. I eventually decided to take my web design business to the next level. I started my first company, whitepetal design, specifically to address the lack of simple-yet-effective-yet-affordable design solutions available to the theatrical community.
From there, I became fascinated with the thought process behind building a site from the ground up: evaluating what problems might exist, collaborating with artists to envision beautiful solutions, then executing something thoughtful and exciting. Having extensive experience in the world of hospitality, both as a Marketing Manager for a 5-star hotel, and as an assistant Wine Director and Mixologist for a 3-star restaurant, I realized I had a unique set of skills and perspectives.
UX Design combines all of my backgrounds. I am a people person. I love learning about my clients, and I have something to say and can say it well. Crafting a path of least resistance and advocating for a truly smooth experience is my passion and my joy.
